Bouzy is one of the best-known Grand Cru villages in Champagne. It lies on the south-eastern flank of the Montagne de Reims, in the Marne department, between Ambonnay and Louvois, north of the Marne.
- Vineyards: pinot noir is the undisputed main grape here, on south- and south-east-facing slopes with chalk as the subsoil.
- Wines: powerful, vinous champagnes with ripe red fruit and plenty of structure. Bouzy is also known for its still red wine, Bouzy Rouge, which falls under the Coteaux Champenois appellation, and for pinot noir that is added as red wine to rosé blends.
- Producers: the village has many vignerons, including Paul Bara, Georges Vesselle, Alain Vesselle, Maurice Vesselle, Pierre Paillard, Barnaut, Herbert Beaufort, Camille Savès, Georges Remy, Fromentin Leclapart, Tornay-Hutasse and Rémi Henry.
