Boursault lies in the Marne department, on the left bank of the Marne, west of Épernay. The village has no cru classification.
Its best-known building is the neo-Renaissance Château de Boursault, built in the mid-nineteenth century for Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, the widow Clicquot of the champagne house Veuve Clicquot. The walled estate comprises both the working buildings and its own vineyard, something rare in Champagne; the champagne is made at the château from grape to bottle.
- Vineyards: as on the rest of the left bank, meunier plays a major role, alongside pinot noir and chardonnay.
- Producers: besides Château de Boursault, those working here include Claude Michez, Le Gallais, Michel Laval and La Villesenière.
