Champagne André Clouet is a family house in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims. The house dates its founding to 1741 and is run today by Jean-François Clouet.
- History: The Clouet family has been tied to Bouzy for centuries. According to one importer, an ancestor was a printer at the court of Louis XV in Versailles, a heritage reflected in the style of the labels.
- Vineyards and terroir: The vineyards lie in the Grand Cru communes of Bouzy and Ambonnay and are planted mainly with Pinot Noir. Bouzy's clay-limestone soils are known for bringing Pinot Noir to full ripeness.
- Approach and style: Harvesting is by hand, without irrigation and with as few pesticides as possible; cover plants between the rows encourage biodiversity. Each plot is vinified separately, and the champagnes age for at least four years in the cellars before release.
- Cuvées: Alongside the Grande Réserve, Silver Brut Nature and V6 Experience, the flagship is Bouzy Grand Cru Le Clos, released only in the best years.
