Champagne Benoît Lahaye is a récoltant-manipulant in the grand cru village of Bouzy, in the Montagne de Reims.
- History: Benoît Lahaye took over the family vineyards in 1993 and gradually converted to organic and then biodynamic farming. He runs the estate together with his wife Valérie. Gault&Millau named him Vigneron de l'Année in 2021.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers about five hectares, mainly in Bouzy and Ambonnay, plus a parcel in Tauxières. Around ninety per cent is planted with Pinot Noir, the rest with Chardonnay.
- Approach and style: The soil is partly worked with a draught horse. Bouzy gives the wines structure and power, while Ambonnay adds freshness and roundness.
- Cuvées: The range includes the Grand Cru Brut Nature, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Bouzy and Ambonnay, and the Rosé de Macération.
