Champagne Baron Dauvergne is a family business in Bouzy (Montagne de Reims) founded in 1923 by Fernand Dauvergne and Hubert Baron. Since 2005 it has been managed by Vincent Dauvergne (fourth generation), who in 2011 introduced the brand name "Baron Dauvergne" in honour of the founders. The heart of the house is the Cuvée Fine Fleur, launched in 1983 as a tribute to the daisy.
The estate has 8.5 hectares of vineyards, spread over more than 65 plots that all carry the Grand Cru classification in the villages of Bouzy, Verzy and Verzenay. Viticulture is conventional and the house specialises in Pinot Noir, although Chardonnay and Meunier are also used. The range includes various champagnes (such as Or Caché de Bouzy, Œil de Perdrix), Bouzy Rouge (coteaux-champenois) and rare Ratafia liqueurs.
Visitors can visit the estate for wine tastings, cellar tours and walks through the vineyards (by appointment). The address is 31 rue de Tours-sur-Marne, 51150 Bouzy, and they can be reached on +33 3 26 57 00 56.
