Damery is a wine village in the Marne department (51), on the right bank of the Marne, a few kilometres west of Épernay and Cumières. It belongs to the Vallée de la Marne Rive Droite terroir and has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the vines grow on the south-facing slopes above the Marne. Meunier is the dominant grape, complemented by pinot noir and chardonnay, on limestone with clay and marl.
- Character: champagnes from Damery are ripe, fruity and round, thanks to the sunny aspect and the meunier.
- Producers: Damery is a lively wine village with many producers. Well-known houses are Champagne Telmont and A.R. Lenoble; those working here also include Blaise Lourdez, Caillez-Lemaire, Daniel Caillez, Guillemont, Haton & Filles, Louis Casters, Maurice Gonel, Prévoteau-Perrier and Yannick Prévoteau.
