Champagne‌ Haton & Filles is a fifth-generation family business in Damery (Marne valley), founded in 1928 by Eugène and Octave Haton. Since 2017 the name has carried the legacy of the daughters Élodie and Ophélie, who run the estate under the guidance of their father Philippe Haton.

History and Family

The origin lies with Eugène Haton, who recognised the ideal slopes of the Marne valley.
Octave Haton took over the business and expanded the family's own vineyard area.
René Haton commercialised the house in 1983 under the name Haton et Fils.
In 2017 the name changed to Haton & Filles, in honour of the female fifth generation.

Vineyards and Terroir

The estate is based in Damery, a major winegrowing centre on the right bank of the Marne.
The vineyards consist of the three noble champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
The terroir is known for its balance between power and elegance, with a strong focus on Pinot Meunier.

Winemaking and Champagnes

Philippe Haton uses modern vinification techniques to ensure consistency, while retaining the traditional family blends.
The champagnes are known for their authenticity, freshness and accessibility.
Well-known cuvées are:
René Haton 1er Cru: A Blanc de Blancs of 100% Chardonnay.
Solo de Meunier: A pure expression of Pinot Meunier.
Cadence: An elegant brut with fresh notes.
Agathe Rosé: A rosé with fruity and fine tannins.
L'Octave: A Blanc de Noirs with complex fruit and spice notes.

Visitors can visit the estate at 28, rue Alphonse Perrin for tastings in the "flûte enchantée".
