Haton is a Champagne house in Damery, in the Vallée de la Marne. The family acquired its first plots there in 1610; in 1928 Octave Haton began making his own champagnes. Today Jean-Noël and Sébastien Haton run the house.
Vineyards The house farms 60 hectares of vines, 45 of them its own, mainly around Damery, Hautvillers, Cumières, Boursault, Fleury-la-Rivière, Vauciennes and Cuchery. Partnerships with other growers supply grapes from other parts of Champagne, such as Chardonnay from Cramant and Oger.
Champagnes The range has three lines: Élégance (Classic, Réserve, Rosé), Excellence (the zero-dosage Pure, Blanc de Blancs and the vintage Noble) and Héritage (the Grand Cru cuvées Intense, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Millésimé). The wines age 2 to 8 years in the cellar. Since 2014 the house has supported the Ateliers d'Art de France foundation.
