Hautvillers is a Premier Cru village on the hills above the Marne, just north of Épernay, in the Marne department. It is regarded as one of the historic cradles of champagne.
- Location: in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, on the southern flank of the Montagne de Reims, with a view over the Marne valley.
- Vineyards: pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay on calcareous soils.
- History: the Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon worked as cellar master at the abbey of Saint-Pierre in Hautvillers. He is buried in the abbey church. The abbey is now owned by Moët & Chandon.
- Producers: many vignerons are based in the village, including Dagonet et Fils, Fernand Lemaire, Joseph Desruets, Locret-Lachaud, Pierre Gobillard, J.M. Gobillard & Fils and Vincent Bliard.
