G. Tribaut is a family house in Hautvillers, the premier cru village in the Grande Vallée de la Marne where Dom Pérignon lived. The story began in 1935 with the arrival of Gaston Tribaut; the fourth generation now works in the business.
History
- 1959/60: the brothers Ghislain and Christian market the first bottle under the Tribaut name.
- 1975: Marie-Jo opens the first tasting cellar in Hautvillers.
- 1976: with its own cellar, cuverie and press, the house becomes independent; the first bottle sold as an independent producer follows in 1978.
- 1992–2025: Vincent and Valérie, then Gauthier and Léa join; 2025 sees the first vinification in oak barrels.
Vineyards Just over 13 hectares in 65 plots on clay-limestone, sandy and chalky soils, planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. The vines are between 3 and 61 years old.
