Pierry lies directly south of Épernay, in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay (Marne department). The village has Premier Cru status.
- Vineyards: clay, marl and chalk alternate. Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown here.
- Character: balanced, fruity champagnes with good freshness.
- Producers: Mandois, Vollereaux, Jean Sélèque, Vincent d'Astrée, Bonvalet and R.L. Legras are based here.
- History: Pierry is associated with Frère Jean Oudart, a Benedictine monk who worked here on improving champagne wine during the same period as Dom Pérignon. The village is also home to the Château de Pierry.
