Champagne Vollereaux is an independent family business in Pierry (close to Épernay), founded in 1805 and now run by the sixth generation. The house is known for its accessible, authentic style and its deeply rooted tradition in the Champagne region.
History and Family
The Vollereaux family has owned vineyards on the southern slopes of Épernay since 1805. Although winegrowing is a tradition, Victor Vollereaux only produced the first bottle of champagne under the brand name Vollereaux in 1923. In 2023, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first bottling, the house was named "Company of the Year" at the Trophées Champenois. The business is currently run by Franck Vollereaux (vinification with his daughter Camille), Hélène Vollereaux (marketing and tourism) and Max Vollereaux (management of the vineyards).
Vineyards and Working Methods
The family owns 40 hectares of vineyards spread over 17 communes, part of which has the Premier Cru classification (including Pierry). 80% of the vineyards are certified under the HVE (Haag Environmental Value) system, which guarantees environmentally conscious winegrowing.
- Grape varieties: Besides the three classic varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier), in 2019 the house also replanted historic varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Petit Meslier.
- Style: The champagnes are characterised by freshness and elegance, with a focus on the chalky soil of the Côte des Blancs.
- Specialities: The house experiments with new expressions through indigenous yeasts and without malolactic fermentation for certain cuvées.

Champagne Vollereaux produces a wide range of cuvées, from accessible everyday champagnes to exclusive vintage examples.
