Ludes is a Premier Cru village on the northern flank of the Montagne de Reims, in the Marne department, between Mailly-Champagne and Chigny-les-Roses, south of Reims.
- Location: in the Grande Montagne de Reims, on slopes that face north towards the plain of Reims.
- Vineyards: pinot noir and meunier predominate, complemented by a little chardonnay, on calcareous soils.
- Wines: fresh, structured champagnes with red fruit; the northerly aspect ensures a taut acidity.
- Producers: the champagne house Canard-Duchêne is based in Ludes. Those working here also include Bertrand Jorez, Jorez Le Brun, Ployez-Jacquemart, Quatresols-Gauthier and Forget-Brimont.
