Louvois lies in the Marne department, on the southern side of the Montagne de Reims, between Bouzy and Tauxières-Mutry, south of Reims. The village has Grand Cru status.
- Vineyards: the slopes lie on chalk and are planted predominantly with pinot noir, complemented by chardonnay. Some of the vineyards border the forests of the Montagne.
