Chigny-les-Roses lies on the northern flank of the Montagne de Reims, between Rilly-la-Montagne and Ludes, a short distance from Reims (Marne department). The village has Premier Cru status.

• Vineyards: the chalk-rich slopes are planted with Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
• Character: champagnes from Chigny combine fruit and freshness with the structure of the Montagne de Reims.
• Producers: the best-known house is Cattier, which has its deep cellars here and makes the Clos du Moulin. Gardet, Dumangin J. Fils, Duménil and Michel Tixier, among others, are also based here.
