Champagne La Villesenière is the second label of Champagne Claude Michez, a family estate in Boursault, in the Vallée de la Marne.
- History: Laurence Michez's parents originally supplied grapes and became cooperative growers in 1973, the year the Claude Michez brand was created. Laurence Michez settled on the estate in 1999 and, together with her husband Cyrille Chenevotot, decided to start making Champagne themselves. At the end of 2013 they launched La Villesenière, a collection made up exclusively of vintage wines.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers about 4.2 hectares, mostly in Boursault, and all La Villesenière cuvées come exclusively from Boursault fruit.
- Methods and style: The first fermentation takes place in small oak barrels, after which the wines age for about ten months in barrel.
- Cuvées: Harmony is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier; the Rosé de Saignée is roughly 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay; Les Cuteries is a single-plot Blanc de Blancs; Cœur de Meunier centres on Meunier. PN 170 is also part of the range.
