Verneuil lies in the Marne department, on the right bank of the Marne close to Dormans, west of Épernay. The village has no cru classification.
- Vineyards: in this part of the Vallée de la Marne, meunier is the main grape, complemented by pinot noir and chardonnay, on slopes with clay, marl and limestone.
- Character: the champagnes are fruity and round, but single-plot cuvées show that depth is also possible here.
- Producers: the family business Jacques Copin, founded by Jacques Copin and his wife Anne-Marie, works with vines of varying ages and combines fermentation in oak barrels with modern tanks. The house's wines include a meunier-based brut and Le Beauchet, an extra brut from a single plot of pinot noir.
