Champagne Salmon is an independent wine house in Chaumuzy (Ardre valley), founded in 1958 by Michel Salmon and now run by his grandson Alexandre Salmon. The estate is known as "the Meunier expert" and is a member of the exclusive Club Trésors de Champagne.

History: The family has worked the estate for three generations. Michel began in 1958 with 500 bottles, his son Olivier took the helm in the 1980s with a focus on agriculture raisonnée, and since 2003 Alexandre has added his own vision, particularly in the area of 100% Meunier cuvées.
Vineyards: The estate covers 10 hectares with a clay-chalk soil. The grape varieties are 85% Pinot Meunier, complemented by 9% Pinot Noir and 6% Chardonnay. The Pinot Meunier provides roundness and fruitiness, ideal for the local soil and microclimate.
Working methods: They use the traditional method with hand harvesting. Vinification is carried out plot by plot with strict selection of musts. They preserve tradition with a traditional Coquard press and use oak barrels for some ageing processes.
Champagnes: The range includes both blends and 100% Pinot Meunier cuvées. They also produce Coteaux Champenois (blanc and rouge) and Ratafia. Visitors can visit the cellar and taste by appointment, including the possibility of having champagne served after a balloon flight (Montgolfière).
