Chaumuzy is a small wine village in the Marne department, in the valley of the Ardre, south-west of Reims, between the Montagne de Reims and the Marne valley. The village has no cru classification.

The Vallée de l'Ardre is one of the sub-regions of Champagne. The vineyards lie on the slopes on either side of the Ardre and its small tributaries. Meunier is by far the most important grape here, which gives the champagnes a fruity, round and approachable character.

The best-known house in the village is Salmon, a family business that specialises in meunier. It was founded by Michel Salmon and has a hot-air balloon as its emblem, because several family members are balloonists.
