Champagne Laurenti is a family-run business founded in 1923 by Joseph Laurenti, based in the prestigious village of Les Riceys in the Côte des Bars, southern Champagne. The house style combines modern techniques with respect for tradition, resulting in champagnes known for their finesse, elegance and distinction.
The estate has 45 hectares of vineyards with a chalky clay soil and an oceanic and continental climate. The grape varieties are 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. The winemaking includes both mechanical riddling (gyropalette) and manual pupitre, and disgorgement via ice or by hand.
The main cuvées are:
- Grande Cuvée Brut: A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, aged in oak barrels and for 6 years in the cellar, with notes of pear, apple and vanilla.
- Grande Cuvée Rosée: A blend of Grande Cuvée Brut and Pinot Noir from vines 50+ years old, aged for 3 years, with aromas of herbs, pepper and raspberry.
- Laurenti Brut/Demi-Sec: A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, aged for 3 years, with notes of liquorice and lemon.
The house also produces Rosé des Riceys and Coteaux Champenois wines. Visits and tastings are possible by appointment via their website champagnelaurenti.fr.
