Henri David-Heucq is a family house in Fleury-la-Rivière, a hillside wine village between Épernay and Reims, in the Vallée de la Marne. Olivier and Maxime, sons of Odile and Henri David, represent the fourth generation: Olivier makes the wines, while Maxime looks after the vineyard with a respectful, sustainable approach.
Vineyards The subsoil consists of Lutetian limestone, rich in marine fossils. The estate grows Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Approach The grapes are pressed directly on the estate. After riddling and disgorgement, the bottles continue to mature in the family's cellars at a constant 11 °C; the house style comes from blending wines with complementary aromatic profiles.
