Fleury-la-Rivière lies on the right bank of the Marne, in a side valley between Damery and Châtillon-sur-Marne (Marne department). The commune has no cru status.
The vineyards lie on slopes with clay and marl soils; as everywhere on the right bank, Pinot Meunier is the main grape. The champagnes are fruity and supple, with the round, approachable style of the Marne valley.
- Notable: the village is known for the Cave aux Coquillages, an underground quarry in which countless fossil shells from an ancient sea are visible.
- Producers: Champagne Arthur Marc, Ghislain Payer et Fille and François Heucq are based here; some houses welcome visitors for cellar visits and tastings.
