Champagne Eric Taillet is a family estate in Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, in the Belval valley of the Vallée de la Marne, known above all for its pinot meunier.
- History: The champagne house dates back to the mid-twentieth century, with the first bottles released in 1961. Éric Taillet took over the estate in 1995 and represents the fourth generation; the next generation, Dylan and Léna Taillet, is now also involved.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers just over 5.5 hectares, more than 80% planted with pinot meunier, complemented by small plots of chardonnay, pinot noir and the rare arbane and petit meslier varieties.
- Approach and style: Taillet favours minimal intervention, avoids chemical pesticides, uses cover crops and has planted beech hedges to support biodiversity. The estate is HVE3 certified and in conversion to organic farming, and presses with a traditional wooden Dollat press.
- Cuvées: The range includes Bansionensi (100% meunier, extra brut), the Exclusiv'T series with a Blanc de Meunier, and the single-plot cuvée Le Bois de Binson.
