Barbier-Roze‌ is a family house in Verzenay, active since 1856. Benoît, the fifth generation of winegrowers, carries on the family tradition and has revived the brand of his great-great-grandfather.

Vineyards

The vineyards lie in Verzenay and Verzy, both Grand Cru in the Montagne de Reims and renowned for their Pinot Noir.
Certified HVE-3 and VDC since April 2021.
The "four zeros": no insecticides (since 2000), no glyphosate (since 2015), no anti-grey-rot treatments (early leaf removal instead) and no added sulphites at disgorgement.

Champagnes

Grand Cru: 95% Pinot Noir, 5% Chardonnay.
Classique and the Sélection range, with a Blanc de Noirs, a Blanc de Blancs and a rosé whose red wine is aged in a solera; the Sélection scored 89/100 from Gault & Millau (2022).
Réserve: at least six years of cellar ageing; also as Réserve Zéro (brut nature).
Millésime 2015 (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) and the prestige Cuvée Charles.
