Loisy-sur-Marne is a village in the Marne department (51), on the Marne just north-west of Vitry-le-François. It lies in the Vitryat, the small wine area around Vitry, and has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the vineyards of the Coteaux Vitryats, also known as the Perthois viticole, lie on chalk slopes and are planted predominantly with chardonnay.
- Character: chardonnay from the Vitryat yields fresh, taut champagnes.
- Producers: Loisy-sur-Marne is home to JS Briche, among others.
The Vitryat is one of the smaller and lesser-known parts of Champagne. Viticulture is concentrated on the slopes around Vitry-le-François, in a landscape otherwise made up mainly of arable fields.
