Crouttes-sur-Marne lies at the far western end of the Champagne vineyards, in the Aisne department, in the valley of the Marne near Charly-sur-Marne. The village has no cru status.
- Location: in the Vallée de la Marne Ouest, close to the border with the Seine-et-Marne department.
- Vineyards: meunier predominates, on slopes above the Marne with soils of clay, marl and sand.
- Wines: fruity, approachable champagnes in which meunier sets the tone.
- Character: this part of the valley is rural and less well known than the Grande Vallée near Épernay, with predominantly small family businesses.
- Producers: Crouttes-sur-Marne has several family businesses, including Bourgeois-Diaz, A. Burguet, Dérot-Delugny, R. Gerbaux, Gratiot Delugny and Leclère-Torrens.
