Champagne R. Gerbaux is a family business based in Crouttes-sur-Marne (Vallée de la Marne), founded in 1920 and currently led by the fourth generation, including Juliette and Pieter. The estate has a total area of 10.7 hectares and operates as a récoltant-manipulant, which means that all grapes come from its own vineyards and the entire production process takes place locally.
History and Identity
The business activity was formally registered on 1 January 2000 (SAS format), but the family tradition goes back to 1920. The identity of the house is symbolically represented in the logo by fingerprints, with each cuvée representing a specific generation or winemaker. The business has 3 to 9 employees and follows a philosophy of respect for nature and biodiversity.
Vineyards and Grape Varieties
The vineyards lie in the rolling landscape of the Marne Valley with diverse soil types and exposures. The grape varieties are composed as follows:

Recent years have seen extra focus on soil cultivation, ground cover and limiting weed control, which has led to the award of the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification.
