Champagne​‌​ A. Burguet is a récoltant manipulant (planteur-champagneur) based in Crouttes-sur-Marne (02310, Aisne), in the Marne valley. The house is run by Isabelle and Dany Burguet, who represent the fourth generation since the initiative was taken to turn their own grapes into champagne and sell it themselves.

• History and Structure: The company, officially SCEV Champagne Burguet (founded in 1988), combines traditional values with a modern approach. The business has 3 to 5 employees and more than 500 regular customers. The name refers to the founder André Burguet, but the current management lies with the fourth generation.

• Vineyards and Terroir: The vineyards are divided among the three main Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Meunier (54%), Chardonnay (31%) and Pinot Noir (15%). The terroir consists mainly of marls, which contributes to the elegance of the wines. Viticulture is practised according to conventional principles, but the vineyards are certified under HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), which guarantees sustainability and respect for nature.

• Approach: A. Burguet uses the traditional method (méthode champenoise) with vinification on laths, in bottles and in tanks (cuves). They use a traditional press for slow extraction of the must, which promotes the full development of the aromas. The champagnes age for several years before coming to market.
