Courteron is a wine village in the Côte des Bar, in the Aube department. It lies in the valley of the Seine, upstream of Bar-sur-Seine, and belongs to the Barséquanais. Courteron has no cru status.
- Location: in the Seine valley in the south of the Aube, near Neuville-sur-Seine and Gyé-sur-Seine.
- Vineyards: pinot noir is the main grape. The slopes lie on lime-rich Kimmeridgian marl, the typical subsoil of the Côte des Bar.
- Wines: fruity, round champagnes with the red fruit of pinot noir.
- Producers: the family businesses Cottet-Dubreuil and Dubreuil Frères are based in Courteron.
