Binson-et-Orquigny lies in the Marne department, on the right bank of the Marne, between Châtillon-sur-Marne and Damery, west of Épernay. The village has no cru classification.
- Vineyards: as in much of the Vallée de la Marne, meunier is the main grape here, complemented by chardonnay and pinot noir. The soils in this valley are varied, with limestone, calcareous clay, sand and loam.
- Character: the champagnes are round, fruity and approachable, with the suppleness that meunier gives.
- Producers: Godinat & Fils and J.M. Rigot, among others, are based here. The family business Moussé-Galoteau has been working in the village for some two centuries and makes cuvées in which meunier plays the leading role.
