Billy-le-Grand is a small wine village in the Marne department (51), on the south-eastern flank of the Montagne de Reims, in the eastern part of the Grande Montagne, between Reims and Châlons-en-Champagne.
- Cru: Billy-le-Grand has Premier Cru status.
- Vineyards: the vineyards lie on the eastern foothills of the Montagne. Unlike in the rest of the Grande Montagne, chardonnay plays a major role here, alongside pinot noir.
- Character: as in the neighbouring villages of Trépail and Villers-Marmery, chardonnay here yields fresh, structured wines with a somewhat tauter profile.
- Producers: the village has a few vignerons, such as Champagne Bonnevie-Bocart.
