Champagne Tristan Hyest is a grower in Trélou-sur-Marne, a village in the Vallée de la Marne.
- History: His father settled in Trélou-sur-Marne in the early 1980s, having first worked for other producers, and made his first wine in 1991. Tristan Hyest studied oenology, joined the family business in 1999 and presented his first own cuvées in 2003. The estate has since grown to around 10 hectares.
- Vineyards and terroir: Trélou-sur-Marne lies on the transition between the Grande Vallée de la Marne and the western Vallée de la Marne, where chalky soils give way to sand and clay, and where the dominance of pinot noir gives way to meunier. The vineyard is roughly half meunier, including one hectare planted in 1955, with the rest pinot noir and chardonnay.
- Approach and style: The vines are farmed without chemicals and with low yields; fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts.
- Cuvées: The range includes Bord de Marne, Les Vignes de Trélou (blanc de noirs), Les Terres Argileuses (blanc de blancs), Les Côtes Calcaires (brut nature) and Le Clos Parcellaire.
