Quenardel & Fils is a Récoltant-Manipulant in Verzenay (Montagne de Reims), owned by the Famille Labruyère since 2014, with a history going back to 1820 and the first bottle in 1863 by Alfred Ravez.
- History: The estate was officially founded in 1956 when Francis Quenardel (grandson of Alfred Ravez) took over the business; in 1993 it was passed on to Christel Quenardel-Faucomprez, and in 2014 the Labruyère family (owners of, among others, Domaine Jacques Prieur) took it over, retaining the récoltant-manipulant status.
- Vineyards: It owns 7 to 8 hectares of vineyards in Verzenay (a Grand Cru village), with a grape composition of approximately 80% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier, focused on terroir expression without a focus on yield.
- Working methods: Characteristic are the prolonged ageing (at least 5 years for non-vintage bruts), vinification in inox cuves, mechanical riddling (gyropalette), ice dégorgement and respect for the soil (HVE certification in preparation).
- Champagnes: The range includes the Réserve Brut (non-vintage, with 5 years of ageing), Millenium 96 (premier cru), and Cuvée de Réserve (blended from years such as 1999/2000), known for round, vinous and complex profiles with notes of brioche and dried fig.
