Champagne Pescheux is a family business based in Avirey-Lingey, in the Côte des Bar (Vallée de la Sarce), at the far south of Champagne. The estate is run by Christian and Magali Pescheux, who continue the tradition of their parents.
- History: The family has been active in champagne production for more than 50 years. Christian and Magali are taking over the torch and are responsible for all stages of the process, from pressing to bottling.
- Vineyards: The estate has 6 hectares of vineyard, planted with the three classic grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. The soil is mainly clay-limestone (Kimmeridgian). The wines are produced according to the principles of integrated viticulture (viticulture raisonnée).
- Approach: As a Récoltant-Manipulant (RM) they produce and sell their own champagne. Vinification takes place in enamelled steel vats and the champagnes age on the lees to develop complexity and character.
- Champagnes: The range covers various styles, including Brut Réserve (mainly Pinot Noir, 2 years of ageing), Brut Tradition, Rosé, Demi-sec and Brut Prestige. The champagnes are known for their roundness, fruitiness and accessibility, with the Pinot Noir dominance providing a rich profile.
The address of the champagne house is 19 Route de Pargues, 10340 Avirey-Lingey.
