History: Maison Lallier was founded in 1906 by René Lallier in Aÿ. The company passed through five generations of the Lallier family, until Francis Tribaut took it over in 2004 to modernise production and specialise in grands crus. In 2020 an 80% majority stake was bought by the Italian Campari Group, with Dominique Demarville as general manager and chef de cave since 2021.
Vineyards: The estate owns 50 hectares of vineyards, located exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages. The grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; Pinot Meunier is not used. The vineyards are certified HVE-3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale).
Winemaking: Lallier follows a "haute couture" vinification with respect for the terroir. Indigenous yeast and vinification by plot (parcellaire vinification) are used to preserve the individuality of the soil. The champagnes age on the lees for at least two years, and the dosage is kept to a minimum to preserve the purity of the wine. Production takes place in Aÿ (cellars) and Oger (production).
Champagnes: The collection includes several ranges:
- Réflexion: The signature series, including the R.020 (Blanc de Noirs/Blanc de Blancs).
- Ouvrage: Prestige cuvées, such as the Grand Cru parcellaire (Les Sous, Loridon).
- Classic: Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay), Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir), Rosé and Zéro Dosage (Brut Nature).
- Millésime: Vintage champagnes from the best harvests.
