Champagne Emmanuel Brochet is a small estate in Villers-aux-Nœuds, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims a few kilometres south of Reims.
- History: Emmanuel Brochet took over the family vineyard in 1997 and stopped selling his grapes in order to make his own champagne. He is largely self-taught.
- Vineyards and terroir: He farms around 2.5 hectares in a single plot, the lieu-dit Le Mont Benoît, planted with Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyard is farmed organically.
- Approach and style: Harvesting is by hand; the wines ferment with wild yeasts and mature for around eleven months in used barriques. They are unfiltered, with minimal dosage and little sulphur.
- Cuvées: The flagship is Le Mont Benoît Premier Cru Extra Brut, which includes a share of reserve wine. The range also includes a Rosé d'Assemblage Extra Brut and a Selected Pierry Extra Brut. Production is very small.
