History:‌ The house was officially started in 1950 by Antoine De Sousa and his wife Zoémie Bonville, whose father Alfred Bonville acquired the first vineyards in Avize after the First World War. The family roots go back to Manuel De Sousa, a Portuguese soldier who stayed in Avize after the First World War. After the death of Erick De Sousa in January 2023, his children Charlotte (sales), Julie (vineyards) and Valentin (cellars) run the family business.

Vineyards: The estate manages 10 to 14 hectares of vineyards, located exclusively in Grand Cru areas such as Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, with additional plots of Pinot Noir in Aÿ and Ambonnay. The soil consists entirely of chalk, which provides excellent drainage and the characteristic freshness and minerality. A large part of the vineyards consists of old vines (sometimes older than 50 or even 80 years), which contributes to the complexity and depth of the champagnes.

Approach: Since 1999 the house has applied biodynamic practices, with official certifications for organic farming (2010) and Demeter (2012/2013). The vinification of wines from old vines takes place in small oak barrels to give the wine more roundness and structure. The champagnes are hand-harvested, often with malolactic fermentation for softness, and age slowly in natural chalk cellars at a constant temperature of 10°C.

Champagnes: The range includes various cuvées that emphasise terroir expression:
