Champagne Collard-Milesi is a young champagne brand from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, founded by Matthias Collard. The brand bears his name and that of his wife Carole.
History Matthias Collard comes from a family that has been linked to champagne for generations: his great-grandfather Pierre Philipponnat ran the house of the same name. After five years with Pommery he returned to the family house Le Clos Corbier, a Champagne house from the 1850s that once housed Champagne Valet and later Champagne Philipponnat. He took over Le Clos Corbier in 2019 and then founded his own champagne brand.
Le Clos Corbier The house, restored by Sylvie and Dominique Collard, is now a wine-tourism venue with four chambres d'hôtes, the restaurant « La Table du Clos », cellar tours, tastings and sabrage workshops. It also sells the champagne of the related Domaine Méa from Louvois.
Champagnes Collard-Milesi focuses on blanc de blancs from the Côte des Blancs, with grapes from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant, Avize, Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus, among others:
- Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Brut
- Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
- Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Millésime 2019
