Oeuilly lies in the Marne department, on the left bank of the Marne between Épernay and Dormans, with a view over the river. The village has no cru classification.
- Vineyards: meunier, chardonnay and pinot noir are all three grown here. The location close to the river is said to give the champagnes a broad, flavourful style.
- Producers: the best-known house is Tarlant, a family business that has been growing vines in the Marne valley since the seventeenth century and is now run by the twelfth generation. Tarlant works plot by plot, ferments part of its wine in wooden barrels and makes mainly brut nature and extra brut. Well-known single-plot cuvées are La Vigne d'Or, from old meunier vines, and La Vigne d'Antan, a blanc de blancs from ungrafted chardonnay. François Chaumont is also based in the village.
