Dormans is a small town on the left bank of the Marne, in the Marne department, roughly halfway between Épernay and Château-Thierry. It has no cru status.
- Location: in the Vallée de la Marne Rive Gauche, on the boundary between the eastern and western parts of the Marne valley.
- Vineyards: meunier is the main grape, on slopes with clay-rich and marly soils.
- Wines: supple, fruity champagnes, typical of the Marne valley.
- History: Dormans is known for the Mémorial des batailles de la Marne, a chapel and memorial by the château to those who fell in the two Battles of the Marne in the First World War.
