Champagne Jil Accaries is a producer in Dormans (Vallée de la Marne) that has been producing champagnes since 1936, currently led by the fourth generation (Pauline, Pierre and Alex). The cellar is located in the Chavenay district at 7 rue du Gouffre, 51700 Dormans.
History and Ownership
The house combines tradition with modern techniques. Since 1975 it has been a cooperative for vinification, but it retains full control over the process, including pressing, ageing in the bottle, remuage, disgorgement, labelling and sales. The business is certified for VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) and HVE (High Environmental Value).
Vineyards
The vineyard covers 17 hectares in the Vallée de la Marne, a region historically known for Meunier. The composition is:
- 12 hectares Pinot Meunier
- 4 hectares Chardonnay
- 1 hectare Pinot Noir
The vineyards are spread over various plots in Dormans, Soilly, Passy-sur-Marne and Tréloup, which allows a broad palette of blends and monocépages.
