Brimont lies in the Marne department, a few kilometres north of Reims, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. The village has no cru classification.
The Massif de Saint-Thierry is regarded as the northernmost part of the Champagne appellation. The vineyards lie on the slopes of the Côte de l'Île-de-France and around the butte de Brimont, a hill that marks the landscape north of Reims. This hill is also home to the Fort de Brimont, part of the ring of fortifications around Reims.
- Vineyards: in this part of Champagne meunier predominates, complemented by pinot noir and chardonnay, on soils of sand, clay and limestone.
- Producers: in Brimont, Hotte-Schmit, among others, makes champagne from its own grapes.
