Bonneil is a wine village in the Aisne department (02), located on the slopes of the Marne valley, close to Château-Thierry. It belongs to the western part of the Vallée de la Marne and has no cru status.
- Vineyards: the vines grow on slopes above the Marne, on soils of clay, marl and sand over limestone. Meunier is the dominant grape, complemented by pinot noir and chardonnay.
- Character: the champagnes are predominantly fruity and supple, with the roundness that characterises meunier from this part of the valley.
- Producers: those working in Bonneil include Christophe Lefèvre, Emmanuel Boucant and Marteaux Guillaume.
