Barzy-sur-Marne lies in the western part of the Vallée de la Marne, in the Aisne department, between Château-Thierry and Dormans. The village falls within the Terroir de Condé and has no cru status.
- Location: on the slopes above the Marne, in the part of Champagne that lies outside the Marne department.
- Vineyards: as throughout the western Marne valley, pinot meunier is the main grape. The soils contain proportionally more clay, marl and sand than the chalk soils around Reims and Épernay.
- Wines: meunier gives supple, fruity champagnes here that are approachable even when young.
- Producers: those working in the village include Fay Michel and Lévêque-Dehan.
