Champagne​‌​ Lévêque-Dehan is a fifth-generation family business based in Barzy-sur-Marne (Marcilly) in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. The house is known for its respect for tradition and for producing characterful, terroir-driven champagnes.

History

• 1887: Founded by Eugène Dehan in Barzy-sur-Marne (Adret side).
• 1927: Lucien Dehan expanded the vineyards to Passy-sur-Marne and was an active resistance fighter.
• 1952: Marcel Lévêque married Lucienne Dehan and added vineyards in Troissy (Ubac side), which gave rise to the brand name Lévêque-Dehan.
• 1986: Eric and Nadine took over the management; the business won the Prix Pierre Cheval in 2018.

Vineyards and Wines

• Area: The estate manages 5.5 hectares of vineyards.
• Location: The vineyards lie on both banks of the Marne: the Adret (sunny, right bank) and the Ubac (cooler, left bank).
• Grape varieties: The three classic champagne grapes are cultivated: Pinot Meunier (dominant in the region), Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Winemaking and Experience

• Philosophy: Laborious, careful work in the vineyard and cellar with respect for nature and the terroir.
• Visitor experience: The house offers oenotourism experiences, including tours in a vintage VW Combi ("The Champagne Road").
