Allemant lies on a hillside in the Sézannais, in the Marne department, and is regarded as the northernmost wine village of this area. From the slope you look out over the vast Champagne plain. Allemant has no cru status.
- Location: in the Côte de Sézanne, south-west of Épernay; the vineyards of the Sézannais run from Allemant in the north to Villenauxe-la-Grande in the south-west.
- Vineyards: Cretaceous chalk comes to the surface here, just as in the Côte des Blancs, but mixed with loam and flinty clay. Chardonnay and pinot noir predominate.
- Wines: the Sézannais is often seen as a southern extension of the Côte des Blancs; the wines are generally ripe and sunny, with fresh citrus notes.
- Producers: among others Bernard Remy, Marlène Delong (vineyard in conversion to organic) and Jérémy Breton.
