Wirtz is a family business and récoltant-manipulant in Villenauxe-la-Grande (Aube), in the heart of the Côte du Sézannais. Angéline took over the family estate in 1998 after studying viticulture and oenology. In 2016 she and her husband Pascal bought her grandparents' farm, which they converted into six gîtes. In 2019 they set up their own cuverie in a barn and harvested their first grapes for their own cuvées; the first tirage followed in 2020.
Vineyards The house farms 6.70 hectares, between the Brie plateau and the Seine valley, mainly Chardonnay, complemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. The plots are certified Viticulture Durable en Champagne, with no herbicides, limited yields and hand harvesting.
