Champagne Pierre Laurent is a family business from Saulchery in the Marne Valley, located at 23 rue de Perpeigneux. The history goes back five generations, with Laurent Pierre taking over the house in 2007 and starting commercialisation in 2010.
Vineyards and approach The family manages 4.5 hectares of vineyards, mainly with Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, spread over Saulchery, Charly-sur-Marne, Azy-sur-Marne, Crouttes-sur-Marne and Domptin. The approach is characterised by:
- Manual harvest to guarantee the quality of the grapes.
- Traditional work with draught horses (Ardennes) to prevent soil compaction.
- Integrated and organic practices, aimed at High Environmental Value and Sustainable Farming certifications.
- Use of bio-indicators and the knowledge of Gérard Ducerf and Eric Petiot.
Champagnes The range includes various cuvées, including:
- Cuvée Finesse: 100% Chardonnay.
- Brut Tradition: 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier.
- Cuvée du Bonheur: 50% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay.
- Millésimé 2007: 45% Chardonnay, 55% Pinot Noir.
- Rosé Cuvée Fruité: 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier.
Some cuvées have been selected for the Château de Versailles since 2016. Visitors can book wine tastings, cellar visits and sabrage demonstrations.
