Champagne​‌​ Marcel Moineaux is a récoltant-manipulant based in Chouilly (Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs), run by Thibault Soyer, the fourth generation in the family business. The history goes back to 1936, when Marcel Moineaux founded the business, building on a vignerons tradition since 1889.

Vineyards and Terroir

• The estate covers 6.4 to 7 hectares of vineyards that lie entirely within the municipality of Chouilly.
• The vineyards are planted exclusively with Chardonnay, resulting in 100% Blanc de Blancs champagnes.
• The terroir consists of chalky soil on the Côte des Blancs, ideal for the growth of ripe white grapes.

Winemaking and Philosophy

• Thibault Soyer masters the entire production process, from hand harvesting to vinification.
• The estate works with sustainable viticulture (viticulture raisonnée) and innovative technologies such as stainless steel tanks with temperature control.
• The grapes are gently pressed in a membrane press to retain only the heart of the cuvée.
• Musts from different plots are vinified separately to preserve the terroir identity.
• Since 2018 a perpetual reserve has been used for the blends; only exceptional years are vintage-dated.
• The house's new visual identity emphasises creativity, with each cuvée illustrated by a moineau (sparrow).

Champagnes and Cuvées

The house produces exclusively Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs, with an annual production of approximately 50,000 bottles for international markets (Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain, Spain).

• Icône: The signature cuvée, made from the finest plots, known for its purity and elegance.
• Bohème: An Extra-Brut that focuses on freshness and spontaneity with a low dosage, suitable with seafood.
• Derrière-Partelaine: A millésime cuvée (e.g. 2009) that comes from a specific, iconic plot and offers depth.
• L'Envol: A limited run (approx. 2,002 bottles) of millésime 2015, with low pressure at the prise de mousse for a silky texture.
• Virtuose: One of the five core cuvées that reflect the personality of the house.
• Brut Tradition and Cuvée Prestige: Classics that embody the family tradition and quality of the house.
