Champagne Joly is a family business based in Troissy (Vallée de la Marne), which has been in family hands for more than a century. The estate is currently run by the third and fourth generations, Rémy and Patricia Joly, together with their children Aurélien and Maximilien.

• History: The vineyards go back to 1880. Until the 1950s the ancestors sold their grapes to merchants; the Joly brand itself was officially founded in 1954 by Gilbert and Annette Joly. In 1998 the family decided to leave the cooperative in order to take full responsibility for vinification and sales themselves.
• Vineyards: The estate has 12 to 15 hectares of vineyard, spread over about 45 small plots in Troissy, Châtillon-sur-Marne, Mareuil-le-Port and Verneuil. The grapes are grown according to the principles of biodynamic or reasoned viticulture (viticulture raisonnée) on clay-limestone and clay soil.
• Winemaking: The harvest is entirely by hand and the grapes are pressed individually in a traditional press. Joly uses traditional methods, with champagnes kept in the ageing cellar (sur lattes) for at least 18 months to 3 years. Pinot Meunier is the dominant grape (up to 75-80%).
• Champagnes: The range includes various cuvées such as Brut, Brut Élegance, Blanc de Noirs Prestige, Rosé Brut and Cuvée Spéciale. Some champagnes have been awarded medals at the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants. Visitors can visit the estate for tours and tastings at 16 Route de Paris, 51700 Troissy.
